General Questions:

Where is Hot San Jose Nights being held? At the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.

Where is the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds?
It is located at 344 Tully Road, San Jose, CA 95111  (See map for details on location.)

How do I get to the Fairgrounds? Click Here for directions to the Fairgrounds and surrounding map!  

How much do tickets cost? General Admission is $10.00.  Children 15 years old and younger get in for free with paying adults!

What time does the show open and close?
Hot San Jose Nights is open to the General Public  on Friday, July 9: noon until 7pm, Saturday, July 10: 8am - 7pm, and Sunday, July 11: 8am - 5pm.

Where do I park? General Admission parking is directly across the street from the Fairgrounds main entrance on Tully Road.

How much does it cost to park? Parking is $8.00 per car and is collected by the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.

Is overnight motorhome parking available?
Yes.  The fairgrounds offers motorhome parking for a nominal fee.  Contact them at: 408-494-3100 or click here for more details.  

Is there a hotel nearby? Our Host Hotel is only 1/3 mile (walking distance!) down the street from the HISFairgrounds!  Hampton Inn and Suites is located at 55 Old Tully Road, San Jose, CA 95111.  Get your reservation today by calling 408-298-7373. Can I bring my dog to the show?
NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED with the exception of Service Dogs. NOBODY wants to step in that!

Does Hot San Jose Nights support a charity? Yes, Hot San Jose Nights is pleased to have Ronald McDonald House at Stanford receive a portion of each and every General Admission ticket sold at the gate.  They are also the sole recipient of the proceeds from all of the Casino game tickets sold. Hot San Jose Nights does not receive one penny from any Casino ticket sold.  The Willow Glen Lions Club will also be presenting an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast for a $10 donation on Saturday and Sunday from 8am - 11am!  It is rumored that they are going to try to make the largest and tallest stack of pancakes to top any previous efforts by the Lion's Clubs before them!  The record holds at 10 feet tall!

Is there any place to sit down and relax? Yes, you will be able to sit on one of the many benches that are under the trees or against some of the buildings in the shade, along "Main St." and "First St.", you can go into the air conditioned buildings and sit and watch the Collector Car Auction, stop in at Sliders Bar next to the Casino inside of AutoRama, and out in "Rodders Park"  you can relax at one of the tables under the shady trees and enjoy the bands all day Saturday and Sunday.  Don't forget about the open air Bench Racers Bar in Rodders Park where you can enjoy a cool drink, too!  Car participants can bring their own lawn chairs with umbrellas or 10x10 pop ups for the clubs and set them up near their cars as space allows, too!

Can I bring my own ice chest in? No, the Fairgrounds does not allow any ice chests, bottles, or cans to be brought in.  You will be able to enjoy some of San Jose's favorite restaurants such as PF Chang's China Bistro,  Big Ed's Buzzard BBQ, and more in the Hot San Jose Nights Food Court!  Other typical "Fair" type food will also be available.  The Bench Racers Bar in Rodders Park should be able to quench your thirst with just about any type of cool beverage!

Show-n-Shine and AutoRama Questions:

How much does it cost to show my car? If you register your car before 5pm on July 7, 2010 it will cost you only $45.00 if you register your car with 2 people!

Is there a price break on General Admission Tickets if I enter my car and want to bring some family or friends with me? Yes, you can buy General Admission Tickets for your guests at Check-In for only $6.00 each!

What if I decide I want to register my car for the show at the last minute, can I still get in? We will allow "walk-in" sign ups for Registered Participants on or even after July 8, 2010 as space allows!  Go to the Hot San Jose Nights office inside the AutoRama building. 

Do I have to pay more to park my car inside of AutoRama? No, whether you park your car inside or outside, the price is the same.

Do I get a Goodie Bag or anything if I park inside of AutoRama? Yes!  You get everything that a person parking outside at the Show-n-Shine gets!

What about In and Out Privileges? This is a Car Show, so we do want everyone at the Outdoor Show-n-Shine to stay parked at least until 4pm each day.  You may take your car out each day starting at 4pm.  Indoor AutoRama cars do not get In and Out Privileges, but they can make special arrangements to leave on Friday night to go to join in the cruise to the Drive-In if they choose provided early Saturday setup will be completed between 7:30-10am.  Otherwise the AutoRama cars must remain parked from Friday at noon until Sunday at 6pm.

What if my car club or my buddies and I want to park together? If you are gathering your buddies at the last minute, you can just line up and drive in together.  If you are planning ahead to park your car club or your buddies (at least 5 or more) together, contact Dan Ignacio at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and he can help set up a spot for you to park that will be reserved ahead of time just for your group or club.

Can I set up my chairs and an umbrella for shade next to my car? We will allow you to park your chairs next to your car with umbrellas, or even 10x10 pop up tents outdoors for shade for buddies parking together as space allows.  We do need to maintain fire lanes and keep the streets open for emergency purposes and for our In the Park Cruises.  There are lots of big trees that do give shade, and many shaded benches scattered about, too!

Can any car be parked at the AutoRama? Any classic, exotic, or special interest car of any year may participate in AutoRama, but space is limited.  All AutoRama cars must be on their own carpets and provide their own stanchions. All indoor entries must provide a photo of their car with their entry form.  All AutoRama cars are judged separately for awards from the Show-n-Shine cars.  If you have any questions about parking your car in the AutoRama contact our Show-n-shine and AutoRama Parking coordinator Dan Ignacio at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Is there anything I need to do differently to display my car indoors? Yes.  You will be provided  a  10'x20'space for display.  You must provide your own carpet that fits these dimensions for display and provide your own stanchions.

Are the AutoRama cars eligible for awards, too? Yes!  The AutoRama cars will be eligible for awards that are only given to AutoRama cars, and an award will be given for categories such as best display, best custom, best stock, best flames, best design, and most original!

The Drive-In:

Is there a cruise to the Drive-In this year? Yes!  The cruise is back to the Drive-In!  All Registered Participants are invited to join in!  Candy Clark will be in the lead car as we leave from the Fairgrounds at 5:45pm and head downtown first to cruise past the Fairmont Hotel, back to Monterey Highway and over to the Capitol 6 Drive-In!  Elvis will also be joining in the cruise in his pink Cadillac!  He'll be cruising around the Drive-In before the movie starts, singing all your favorite Elvis tunes! 

Who gets to join in the cruise to the Drive-In? If you are a Registered Participant with either Indoor or Outdoor parking you may join in the cruise to the Drive-In.

What time does the Drive-In open?  I want to get a good spot! If you are a Registered Participant and you'd like to get a good spot, then by all means join the cruise!  The Drive-In will not allow any cars to come in until the HSJN cruise arrives.  The cars in the cruise will be allowed to park first. 

Do I need tickets to the Drive-In if I am a Registered Participant? Yes, you will receive two tickets to the Drive-In as part of your Registered Participant package.

What if I need more than two tickets for the Drive-In? You can order more tickets to the Drive-In when you send in your Registered Participant Entry Form.  You will also be able to buy more tickets at Check-In.  Hot San Jose Nights Drive-In Tickets will not be available at the Drive-In, so be sure to plan ahead and get yours upon Check-In!

Is there a band at the Drive-In this year? Yes!  The Hot Rods Band will be back and Elvis will also be cruising around singing all of his hits, too! 

Vendor Questions:

Who can I contact if I want to be a Vendor? You will find the Vendor Package on the Vendor Forms Page. What types of Vendors are allowed? All types of vendors are allowed from automotive related to arts and crafts and even food vendors.  HSJN reserves the right to determine appropriateness of Vendors before or during the show.  We emphasize that this is a Family oriented show. 

What do I need to do to be a Food Vendor? All Food Vendors must fill out two different applications.  All applications are found on the Vendor Forms Page.  Also found on that page is an explanation of what requirements you must meet to be a food vendor according to the Santa Clara County Department of Enviornmental Health.   All applications and fees must be returned to Hot San Jose Nights.  The first application is to be a food vendor for HSJN (Food Vendor Package).  The second application is from the Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health.  Whether you are selling food or just giving samples away you must fill out a form from the Santa Clara Department of Enviornmental Health.  There are separate fees for each form.  All fees are payable to Hot San Jose Nights.  All forms must be turned into the Hot San Jose Nights Event Coordinator (Mike Hennessy) no later than June 18, at 5pm.

When is Vendor set up? Vendors may set up any time from Thursday 10:00am until 8:00pm, or on Friday from 8:00am until noon.

Where is Vendor Check-In? Vendor Check-In is located at VendoRama.

Where do the Vendors set up? At VendoRama!  We have a huge building dedicated entirely to Vendors!  This building was chosen for its proximity to the Main Gate Entrance.  ALL General Admissions will go through the Main Gate and be funneled through VendoRama!  We want to be sure to give our Vendors plenty of exposure.  This is also the building that will house the Hot San Jose Nights Information Booth and the Hot San Jose Nights Store! (See Map

Can I choose to set up in a different area? Yes, you can!  While we feel that VendoRama is a great setting, you may choose to set up in AutoRama, AuctionRama, or even outside.  If you need a very large space or have a car that you want to start up, then an outdoor space is what you will want.  The choice is entirely up to you.  (See Map)  This is a Rain or Shine event.  Food Vendors can also set up outside. 

Is electricity available? Yes!  You may order electricity for an extra charge for either Indoors or Outdoors.  Contact our Vendor Coordinator Gina Pelaiz at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Is there security at night? Yes, there is 24 hour roaming security, plus the three buildings are locked down.

When is Vendor tear down? You can start your tear down on Sunday at 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Monday from 8:00am until 5:00pm.

Show-n-Shine Check-In:

Where is the Check-In located?
Check-In will be located at the Fairgrounds in the AutoRama Building.  (See Map)

When is Check-In? Check-In will be on Thursday, July 8 from 3pm - 7pm and on Friday, July 9 from 9am - 7pm.

What do I need to bring to Check-In? You need to bring a picture ID, and know your Licence Plate Number.  Your Letter of Confirmation is optional, but it does't hurt to be prepared! 

Can I pick up my buddy's packet for him? No.  We need a picture ID with information on it that matches the information that we have for each Registered Participant.

How will I know where to park? After Check-In you will be directed to the area for parking.  You will be shown where to park by one of the many HSJN Volunteers working on the Parking Team.

If I haven't registered for the show yet, can I just walk in to register? Yes, we will be allowing walk-in registrations as space allows. 

The Classic Car Auction:

Who is putting on the Auction this year?
This year we are very pleased to have Bizzarro's Classic Car Auctions!  Bizzarro's is a local Auction Company located in Redwood City, CA with over 25 years experience! 

What do I have to do to register my car for the auction? What do I have to do to bid on a car at the Auction? Be sure to contact Bizzarro's Auctions to see what qualifications you must have in order to bid at the Auction.  More details will be available at a later date on this website.

What if I need help to transport my car?
